9:30 Worship Service

This is our more contemporary and relevant to young people service at EBC on Sunday mornings.  Statistics show that 8 out of 10 Christian students walk away from church after high school.  Part of that is because they didn’t integrate into the adult community. We want our older teens to worship with the adult community in our church and find a place that they can continue to come and worship after high school. Student leaders are encouraged to take part in the planning and executing of this service.

Sunday in the Park – Sundays 2p –4 Roe Park (May-September)
Bring your friends to a nice relaxing or action on the field afternoon at the park.  Wether you go on a trail walk with a few friends, hang your hammock, or jump into a game of ultimate frisbee, you will have a great time getting to know other high school students at the park.  Don’t take off too early as students like to go to sonic or QT after the park.

WNL (Wednesday Night Lifegroups – Wednesdays 7p – 9:00p in an EBC host home.

Life Groups exist for students to grow deeper in their relationship with God and other Christians. This is a key program for making our large group (as experienced with the Common Grounds and SNL) smaller by dividing into age-related and gender Life Groups. Each Life Group meets for Bible study, spiritual growth, fellowship, prayer, and accountability. This Small Group setting is very effective in it’s ability to care for each individual student.

The first Wednesday of the month serves as a fellowship night called “Fun Night Out”.  FNO’s can be any activity the students come up with that the leader agrees on.  LG leaders will contact parents ahead of time with details and need of drivers if necessary. FNO is an opportunity to invite friends who are interested in following Jesus and don’t have anyone discipling them.

Sr. High Life Groups are by invitation only.  Students need to check with their leader and group before inviting them to a LG gathering.

Students can apply to serve in the SML service program on Sunday mornings (tech team, skit team, games/stunts, praise team, set up, table leader assistant, and greeting team).

Spiritually mature students are encouraged and given opportunities to mentor and/or serve in children’s ministry or middle school ministry.

Students who want to serve go through an application, selection, and training process to help them discover their ministry.

Come be a part of a team that helps develop the gifts of instrumentation and worship leading.  Our praise band meets every Sunday afternoon from 5:30-6:30pm.  If you are just getting started or have been playing for a while, we want you!  We have a gifted community of musicians ready to help your teen grow in the art of worship.
