Sermon Series: Shattering the Darkness

We invite you to join us in-person or online in our series: Shattering the Darkness. In a world of hatred, fear, and violence, the world can feel very dark. This Easter, hear about Jesus, the Light of the World, and how He has entered the darkness and shattered it, giving us a hope for today and the future. Join us this Easter as we engage in the life of Jesus, the One who shatters the darkness.

Join our service Online LIVE or In-Person at our Overland Park, Kansas location.

We follow local COVID protocols. Masks are required at all times. Regular cleaning is instituted.

Service Overviews

March 7th:

Darkness isn't a mere force; there is one who embodies the darkness. Long ago, the Devil brought darkness to mankind, who embraced it and brought the world to ruin. In the midst of this, God promises to bring One who will one day destroy the darkness.

March 14th:

Since the Fall, the powers of darkness are continually scheming to plunge the world further into darkness. In the Temptation of Christ, we see Satan's schemes and find in Jesus a hope for defeating the darkness.

March 21st:

As we continue in the life of Christ, we find a crowd of people misunderstanding and even beginning to hate the message of Jesus. The reason is simple: the darkness has enslaved their minds and hearts against the truth of freedom.

March 28th:

Nearing the end of Christ's earthly ministry, His popularity climaxes in His Triumphal Entry to Jerusalem. Though the crowds are cheering and praising God, Jesus weeps, knowing their spiritual darkness will soon cause the crowds to cry "Crucify Him!"

April 2nd:

In Christ's final hours, the forces of darkness culminate in the betrayal of His disciple, and the horror of crucifixion. Truly, this was the hour of darkness. But as Jesus knew, it would take suffering, anguish, and death to defeat the grip of darkness upon the earth.

April 4th:

In Jesus' death, all hope seemed lost. Yet, on the third day, the women come to the tomb finding the stone rolled away and two men in shining garments, bearing the good news that the Light of the World has risen from the dead. In His resurrection, we find the defeat of darkness and eternal salvation in His name.
